Solid breakfast anytime! You'll bring home leftovers every time.

I'm not sure about the racism mentioned in previous posts. I'm Asian, my husband is white and our son is mixed. We have never had a problem and they always remember us.

My family and I have been eating at Little John's for many years, and we are African American. Never have we been treated with anything but friendly attentive service. The staff is friendly and respectful. The food is good, and we are on such good terms with the staff, they bring our drinks without us even asking! I don't know what the other above mentioned situations are referring to, but our family really enjoys our meals at Little John's.

Some pevious comments must have come from competitors! This place is great - and very multinational. I've been going here for five years, and it is a casual family place next to VW dealership. Terrific Mexican omelet with salsa, sour cream and guacamole, and rye toast has been my go-to order. This and Gilberts are the best breakfasts in Bellevue, although Gilberts caters to a more upscale professional crowd.

Despite what the previous person wrote, there was nobody in the entire restraunt. Everbody is white with a few Mexican employees that wash dishes. These people are rednecks. I would not eat her again if the choice was starving. They might serve you if your black and you drive a beamer or something and talk like some Uncle Tom. This place sucks.

I've been eating at Lil Jon's for a few years now on a fairly regular basis. The weekend is painfully busy between 10am - 12pm, so be prepared for a little wait. Don't worry though, because there isn't a better diner in the Bellevue area. They have big portions and everything you'd expect from a diner that's been operating for over 40 years. They have a friendly staff, and make a great bloody mary for those rough morning-afters. It's a very comfortable relaxed place, even when there isn't an empty seat in the house.

As for inherent racism noted by the previous poster, that just doesn't make sense. Some of their staff is Asian. Perhaps slower service due to a packed house was simply misconstrued as something it wasn't. Who knows. My wife, her black dad, and my Asian friends have never experienced anything even close to that kind of treatment, so I'm going to have to call Shenanigans on that one.

Little Jon's has always had good food. Just don't go there if you are an inter-racial couple. I found this out the hard way. I never had bad treatment when I went there alone or with my family because we are all white. I went with my wife who is asian. Not only did they refuse us service, but they were too big of cowards to even answer to me. I tried to drum up some attention, but they just walked away. Little Jon's is like a trip back to the 1960's. If you enjoyed watching blacks get spray with firehoses and murdered for practicing there rights, you'll love this place. Bellevue has an asian population of almost 25 percent of their city. Avoid this place unless you like the sound of bangos and hanging coloreds. GO to hell rednecks!

We're breakfast fans and have searched far and wide and always come back to Lil' Jon's for their breakfasts. Nothing fancy, just great eggs, bacon, and sausage with great hash browns (my test of a good place). Huge pancakes and cinnamon rolls. Staff is always friendly and welcoming. Long lines on weekends.
