Eaties is the breakfast of Champions!--at any time of the day or night, plus cartoons, including early Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and loads of Looney Tunes, and fluffy couches, stuffed animals, board game classics, wheat-free/dairy-free options. It's eternally Saturday morning at Eaties!

I really enjoyed stopping here on my way through Asheville. The atmosphere was comfortable and the prices were affordable. The best feature was its buffet style setup where I got to mix the cereals I wanted the way I wanted. Ive been to other cereal restaurants before (The Cereal Bowl) and they were a little to corporate and fake. Eaties seemed alot mor down-to-earth and friendly. Anyway, I highly recommend Eaties to anyone who happens to be in Asheville.

While the hot food options are limited (grits and oatmeal) - there are over 16 different types of cereal. A bunch of traditional sugary ones - but even better - a whole slew of healthy organic cereal options! You can mix and match - and get one of the healthiest breakfasts possible. There are single bowls and bottomless bowls which allow you to eat as much as you would like. There are over 16 different types of toppings including fruit, nuts, and sweet things. Plus milk! And there are even options on that - only organic whole and skim, plus organic chocolate, and lactose free soy and rice milk. Amazing! Fresh local fair trade coffees and teas, plus fresh fruit, bagels, yogurt, and other goodies are options. Best of all - it is so reasonably priced! Probably the CHEAPEST place in all of downtown Asheville...

But wait - there's more! Not only is the food a cool cheap option, the atmosphere is fantastic. There are booths, tables, desks, and a plush lounge area to sit in. Enjoy Saturday morning cartoons or retro movies playing at most times. Plus there are pajama party nights, family games nights, open mic/comedy/and poetry nights. The restaurant slogan is "Think outside the Box" and it's motto is "the oasis for Asheville's creatives." Hosting lots of neat art from local artists -it is just an all around great hang out spot. Plus wireless internet (of course!)

One of the coolest, best places I've seen in a long time.

Double Plus Good - Highly recommended.
