The view, need I say more... even if the service was just so so.... BUT, the service was aweseome, enough to bump this place from 4 to 5 eggs. the food was big and tastey

Longhis is located on the ocean side of Ala Moana Center, and has a great view (across the parking lot below) of the park across the street, and of the ocean. If you get there early, you can get a seat at the open air edge of the restaurant. Prices are rather high, but the food (very good) seems to be worth it, although portions are skimpy. You never feel hungry when you leave. The coffee refill index is good. The bad part (and this is frequently a restaurant killer for us) is that a few of the waiters act very servile and false. We like to have real people as waitpersons. The bar is open when the restaurant opens, and there are always a few early morning alcoholics in attendance.
