I've lived in Round Rock for 15 years. La Margarita is not real Tex Mex food. It is Tex Mex for the weak. It is flavorless. I have tried to eat there for years usually because someone chooses it for lunch and their salsa is even bland. It you want tasteless, spiceless Tex Mex then La Margarita is the place for you. Want real Tex Mex try any of Round Rock's and Austin's real Tex Mex restaurants. Try Trudy's by UT campus. They know how to make Migas.

The migas at La Margarita are the best I've ever tasted. There's nothing particularly special about the ingredients, but the tortillas they use are super fresh, moist and soft. Wrap your migas in one and sinking your teeth into it is like biting into a divine pillow. Be sure to ask for queso on the side and drizzle a little in your migas taco. Your eyes will roll back in your head -- trust me. As an added bonus, it is nearly impossible to eat an entire plate - tortillas and all - by yourself. My wife and I split it and still walk away full.

Service is consistently competent and food comes out quick. Dinner is very good, too, but it faces much stiffer competition.
