The menu is extensive and breakfast is served all day. The portions are enormous. All of the produce is organic and they are a certified green restaurant. Since it is so good, on weekends the line can be super long but it is definitely worth the wait. I live in San Diego and I go there every time I am in L.A. The staff are the best ever - always friendly and smiling and very attractive. Make sure you say hi to Danielle and Johawna!! Bring your dog, sit on the patio, people watch, and enjoy your meal.

Usually very good breakfast, We asked for crispy bacon and received it under cooked and limp.

Main items are creative, sometimes wonderful (French Toast with Fig preserves and maple syrup, when offered) other times average.

Order at the inside counter and a number is issued for the server to bring to your table. to order a coffee refill, you must go back inside and ask for your refill at the register. Kind of a pain. Nice patio for a Sunday meal.

Whenever I have friends visiting the are I am sure to recommend a trip to the Alcove.

The portions are ginormous and the fare is ostentatious enough to please even my most discriminating tastes. Dont get me started on the desserts...simply divine.

There is a gourmet cheese shop adjacent which carries the most wonderful and hard to find gastronomique goodies... so much more that just cheese.
