Well put! about the slow and rolling eyes waitresses. It's exactly what I experienced and on top of that the tables were all dirty. I walked out and haven't been back. Basically the waitress drove me out by being rude when I was asking her questions about the food items on the menu. I even got the rolling eyes, yet, she didn't understand when I told her how rude she was and walked out.

The food at the Peppermill is really very good. It's fresh and arrives hot. My complaints are about a) the inconsistent server quality and b) the outrageous prices to add/change anything to their menu. I have tried this restaurant several times and the quality of your experience will depend on the server you get. Some of them are SO BITCHY and just leave you sitting there--you have to get up and go find them in order to have refills of your coffee or other drink, for example. If you question them about things you get sarcasm and rolling eyes. Other servers are kind, friendly and efficient--but it's the luck of the draw as to who you get and how you will be treated. In other words, bad management. If you ask to add tomatoes or avocado or ANYTHING, you are charged 75 cents or more. Other restaurants will make those small changes for nothing added.

Have seen this restaurant through ups and downs and management changes but NEVER this bad. Rude and arguementative waitress; seating of large group just inside the front door blocked the entire isle into the restaurant (entire front of restaurant was available); restaurant less than 1/3 full; service took over 15 minutes to get food AFTER waitress took orders; one person was served more than 5 minutes before any other orders dwindled in; late arrival was asked once if ready and not returned to for over 10 minutes; coffee refills were non existant; breakfast special french toast was on stale bread ... waitresses were too busy gossiping by the counter to wait on customers. No manager was seen during 90 minute stay. THIS RESTAURANT IS GOING TO THE DOGS.

Breakfast is an important meal of the day for me and I enjoy lots of coffee, which was lacking at the Peppermill! They do not have enough servers and the staff does NOT check back after dropping the food. I have been several times and each time the same problem exists. There is NO hostess/host to seat you and you have to find your own seat. The only thing going for the restaurant is the food! Everything was hot, tasted delicious and was just the right serving size. You just have to deal with the staff.

This review is for the Peppermill Lounge. I find it rather interesting that the "lady" bartenders tend to cater to the men. A female can go in and after three drinks they cut her off while her counterpart can have six or seven or even eight and they are still serving them. What is up with that??? No explanation it is the way it is. They have a holier than thou attitude and it is going to ruin them. All of them think they own the place and can run peoples lives...got news for you...no way in hell!!!!!

We're walking distance to the Beaverton "Biscuits" which is an OK place, but usually drive the few miles to the Peppermill for Sunday breakfast. We've never had to wait to be seated and the staff are quite pleasant and attentive.

We just visited the Peppermill this morning for the first time and we cleaned our plates! Sometimes going out to breakfast here in Oregon can get annoying, people up here put bacon in their sausage gravy (totally wrong side of the pig people!) and biscuits are usually dry but not here. My husband had the homemade hash and eggs - and it was not greasy at all! After asking if they used bacon in their gravy, I ordered the biscuits and gravy breakfast - it was almost as good as my grandma's! We got out of there with a $17.00 bill including drinks! This is a great place, they also have calendars by the register that inform you of the Lunch and Dinner specials for the month, we heard they don't use bacon in their chowder either - Finally a place in Oregon that doesn't mix their clams and their pork! We loved our breakfast and our waitress - Betty - she was on the ball! We found our new favorite breakfast spot, thanks Mr. Breakfast-

My wife and I were very disappointed with our first experience at this restaurant. She ordered a vegeterian omelette. I ordered a short stack of blueberry pancakes.

Although the restaurant was not busy on this Thursday morning, the table service was slow and inattentive. Our coffee cups were always empty and the waitress was always out of sight. For us, good coffee is half of the meal's pleasure. This coffee was unremarkable, lacking both a full body flavor and aroma. My wife said that the omelette was "OK." My pancakes, however, were thick, heavy and dry. No doubt, the batter was much too thick. The syrup is served in little shot glass-sized containers. Two are the standard fare. Given the absorption rate of these thick pancakes, I had to twice reorder more syrup. Because our waitress was MIA, my pancakes were cold by the time the reordered syrup arrived.

Overall rating: Sadly disappointing and not worthy of a second chance when there are so many good restaurants in town to frequent.

This restaurant is a sleeper. Many people don't know it's here. It's very large, and nicely furnished, and can be divided into sections, for party groups. The owner is a perfectionist, and his wife is from France, along with her great cooking skills. There are too many nice things about this place, to mention here. I'll say they have the best breakfast potatoes, ever, such as the best hashbrowns, home fries, and potatoes O'brian. The wait help is great. The restaurant can be seen on Kinnaman Rd, one block north of Farmington Rd, and on the left, in a shopping center.
