My husband and I have been regulars of the Original Pancake House for a few months now. We have 2 favorite servers there and always get consistantly good service with them. While the coffee prices might be considered on the high side, I have never had a problem with getting refills. The girls know I don't like to see the bottem of my cup and I never do! And the added fact that they serve REAL cream for the coffee is an added bonus and worth the extra cost for the coffee. Also the coffee is always fresh and hot and consistantly tastes good. I've been to many restaurants where you never know from one visit to the next if the coffee is going to be good or not. But OPH is always good! The food is outstanding and I find the portions to be huge! I have never walked out of there hungry. Well worth the visit everytime!

The prices here for breakfast range from average to pricey. Some of the specialties cost more; mainly, the beverages are ridiculously expensive. The "house" is clean with good service. And yes, the Apple Pancake is delicious. Many of the special pancakes and waffles go straight to dessert. Avoid standards and try some of the gourmet breakfast "cakes!"

Part of a Portland OR chain, this restaurant serves a wide variety of pancakes. It's specialty is the hugh apple pancake. This is a great place for a change of pace or to treat yourself, as the prices are high, and the food portions average. Coffee is outrageously priced, in tiny cups and servers don't come around often enough. The food however, is very good.
