Enjoyed the breakfast so much, we came back again a few days later! Loved the orange infused pancakes (gluten free!). Wish I had the recipe!

the Sunny Point has the most incredible breakfast on EARTH. I am a foodie, and let me tell you, they do it up right! I think my fav. go to is the huevos rancheros, with a cilantro cream sauce over the top, fresh, local chorizo sausage, and tortilla chips, salsa, and topped off with an egg the way you like it. Their cream cheese and jam french toast rocks the house, and the biscuits are wonderful. They are a little pricey, but trust me, you can either share your entree or not eat the rest of the day. A trip to Asheville isn't complete without a meal at Sunny Point!

The decor is cheerfull and the flower arrangments are beautiful. Nice waiters, quick service but let's not dawn away from the best part, THE FOOD.
They have lots of options and every time I go there i leave feeling full and happy. There are lots of vegetarian options wich are great. Their egg and cheese sandwiches are above everyone and everything tasted fresh. Not greasy at all. I love it here and reccommend it to anyone in the area.

Bright, cheerful decor and funky light fixtures were good clues to the vibe of the Sunny Point Cafe. The place was virtually empty when we arrived 5 minutes after opening, but the parking lot was full by the time we left. I knew it was a good sign when I noticed the bowl of turbinado sugar and the jar of blackberry jam on the table. The menu has a really interesting array of creative takes on classic dishes. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich, which is rustic bacon, marinated tomatoes, and a small cheese omelet (!) served on a huge croissant with a bowl of chipotle-cheese grits (herbed potatoes are an available alternative). Everything was very tasty and not at all greasy; the grits are really flavorful, but not actually spicy - they were a bit runny, though. Overall, it was an excellent value at $6.95. The coffee was nice and strong, but not bitter; I was pleased to see the variety of coffee drinks on the menu. The service was great too; we were greeted when we came in and our server made sure we had everything we needed. Next time I plan to try the cornmeal griddle cakes and a hot cup of chai.

Very much in tune with other well-known hip restaurants, like the Flying Biscuit in Atlanta. Very creative breakfast concoctions, along with the more standard egg dishes. The breakfast sandwich is awesome - maple bacon, very sharp cheddar cheese, eggs, and marinated tomatoes on a croissant (with cheesy grits or homefries of course). Their huevos rancheros are amazing - homemade black bean cakes with eggs, feta, and green salsa. The MGB (Mighty Good Breakfast), comes with hormone-free, house-made sausage, free-range eggs, the incomparable chipotle-cheese grits, and amazingly fluffy and buttery angel biscuits. The items are almost always perfectly cooked, and for the quality and size of the portions, the $6.95 MGB is a mighty fine deal. There's more, but I keep drooling on the keyboard. Best if I stop.

For the amount of business this place gets, everything moves along pretty fast, and the staff is quite personable and considerate. The place is getting a name around town, though. People line up 15 minutes before the place opens on Sunday morning, and it stays packed until it closes... now that's the sign of a good restaurant!
