Great service food is good need air very hot over all want go back.

Recent change of ownership--now named 896 Diner. Completely new staff, cleaned up decor, new cook, everything. Great improvement, including free wifi. Wait staff is American and Eastern European, all nice, and they remember repeat customers.

Decent but uneven diner experience; nothing wow-worthy. Points for old-time diner dishes; points deducted for syrup in small packets and slightly soggy hash browns (confusing called home fries on the menu). Waitresses friendly but a little slow out of blocks in refilling coffee; after early slowness, refills were excellent. Pancakes thick if you like them that way. Good prices on combos, and a breakfast buffet (appx. $7) was available on the May Saturday I was there.

Slow service. Food very ordinary and bland. Waitresses are pleasant. The cashier either has no vocal chords or does not wish to speak with or smile at the customers--borders on rude.
