This is the last surviving Shoney's of the Washington Metropolitan area & I hope it stays. We usually go for the breakfast buffet, which I highly recommend, esp. on the weekend when you may catch their eggs benedict. There has been somewhat of a compromise regarding smoking where it's only allowed after a certain time of the day in the smoking section. Smoking has been my biggest turnoff there. I hope it's totally banned. I also hope they can expand the dining area - it can get pretty clumsy and uncomfortable when it's crowded. The management staff is really polite and genuine.
