This place is great. They offer wonderful service and great food. The only disadvantage is the hours. This place has horrible hours post-katrina. They are no longer not open late during the week and closed on holidays. The only time that you really have a chance to experience them at anytime is Thursday - Sunday and closed early on Sundays. How can you appreciate the service and quality if the place is rarely open whern you need them to be?

Having read the (mostly) positive reviews, I may have to give this place a try. I've never been, and here's why: How can you call your restaurant "Trolley Stop" when you are on the "Streetcar Line?" This is not San Francisco. We call them streetcars, not trolleys

Went here for breakfast, couldn't agree more, the service was great. But that's were the praise stops. This may have been the single most disappointing breakfast I've had in the city. I think I could throw a better breakfast together on the Foreman. Extremely disappointing

I absolutely looooooove Trolley Stop. I was introduced to this place my sophomore year of college and was hooked every since then. The prices are great, especially if your a student or on a tight budget. A lot cheaper than IHOP and they give you more portions for the price.

The wait staff is always friendly and gets your orders to you in a timely fashion. Never a bad moment in the numerous times I have been. Also, very family friendly. I eve ran into one of my professors and her kids one Sat morn.

Great off the beaten path for tourists looking to eat good. The Seafood Omelet is the greatest!

And the chocolate pancakes :)

Absolutely the best. Me and my future wife lived at this place. We had perfect service ever since our first visit and it never stopped. She put me up on Trolley because she was a college student there. I am so glad we discovered this place. I dont think there is better breakfast in the world. Yes, I said the world!

We've only been there for breakfast and we have enjoyed every one. Excellent large portions at great prices, special orders are usually no problem (especially for us vegetarians) and the waitstaff act like you're one of the family sitting down at their own breakfast table. Also, it's probably the safest place I've ever been in New Orleans considering that there's always a bunch of policemen and detectives eating there.

I asked my taxi driver for a breakfast place recommendation that wasn't the typical tourist spot. He asked if I wanted to be out of the main drag, and trusting him I said yes. I am so glad I did. He took me to the Trolly Stop. He was going there after he had dropped me at what ever destination I would have been going, so he killed two birds with one fare! The place is magnificent, and definely NOT a Tourist stop on the map. The dishes I had brought back fond memories of my growing up in Virginia (I now live in CT). The pancakes, sausage, grits...I don't believe I've had a meal that wonderful in years. The coffee was endless. The atmosphere is a mix of students and moms (if you're there later in the AM)and New Oleans' Finest. A woman going on her own can feel safe, I did when I walked outside and saw all of the cruisers and also the detectives having breakfast meetings inside. There are other taxi drivers and just an array of locals. The St. Charles Tolly goes right by the restaurant. I highly recommend this place. I always tell my friends about it when they go to New Orleans.

I have never been here for Breakfast in the traditional sense. Rather, I end up here after a night of drinking.

Pancakes....mmmm Banana Split Pancakes.

I ended up there after reading a novel called, Fat White Vampire Blues. They are open late or early. In fact, I'm not sure they ever close.

Award Nomination: Most Comfortable
