absolutely horrible, filthy, unsanitary how it stays open is a mystery. ate there once would never eat there again. food was cold, no taste, i can't believe anyone would go there twice.

New ownership has taken over. They are more "reserved" than the previous owner (Thank God!!!!) Breakfast is still great and the place is VERY clean.

Everything in the earlier reviews was true: from Wendy hugs for some customers to the excellent breakfast sandwiches. We loved it. The place on Sunday morning was packed, but the line that formed was absorbed quickly! On the down side, I'd say that the coffee was good but not excellent (a bit on the weak side) and as a purist the syrup is not real maple. That said, I will happily return next time I trek the 300 miles from Philly. Highly recommended.

this place is like the dinners of old, every body says hi to each other, all types of topics discused. owner Wendy is friendly to every body greets you with a smile and sometimes a hug. she will some times sit down with you after you are done eating to talk and get to know you. the food is great better than mom makes, huge portions and she (Wendy) wont even ask you to clean up when you are done. i eat here at least 6 times a mo.

By far my favorite Pittsburgh breakfast spot. Service is attentive and...eccentric. Food is downright excellent -- the breakfast sandwiches are exceptional, great locally-baked bread, huge "mancakes,' and delicious spuds. Decor and "theme" is engaging without being cute, kept in check by the attitude that fosters a slogan like "Welcome to BOBS, now get the hell out." I eat here four or five times a year, and I live on the other side of the state.
