Tokyo 7-7 Coffee Shop looks like a greasy spoon, and offers ridiculously low greasy spoon prices, but the menu, service and food quality is amazing! This friendly little "locals' secret" place combines the best of American diner breakfast cuisine with Japanese/Hawaiian favourites. Coffee or green tea; the refills are constant and with a smile, and if you want french fries AND gyoza with your pancakes, well, why not? An absolute gem of a neighbourhood spot; it's a pleasure to come in for either breakfast or lunch. The cheeseburgers and yakisoba are equally tasty, and stunningly cheap. Try the "royals" (Hawaiian omelette over rice), especially the char-siu (bbq pork) one. Open M-F 7am-4pm; Sat. 830am-2pm.
