If you don't mind waiting, this is a decent place for Sunday brunch in Silver Lake. I'm almost certain they do breakfast every day, but we went for brunch. Had to wait almost a half hour to get in. I got eggs benedict and it tasted great, but I was so hungry by then that water and bread would have satisfied me. Waitress was nice. Prices were slightly high as is the case with a lot of Silver Lake.

Millie's had been around since the early part of the last century and now it has survived its present hipster status for over twenty years. Located in Silver Lake on famed Sunset Blvd., Millie's was originally just a counter, but expanded as its popularity grew, by adding tables indoors and outdoors. The food and groovy atmosphere kept bringing people back. Nearly every cool struggling LA actor, filmmaker, and musician who's worked you have enjoyed in the past 20 years has done their time behind Millie's counter.

The hangover fixer faves: The Devil's Mess (hot! chili powder and curry powder in one divine mess!) and The Hangtown Fry which is packed with bacon and oysters. Millie's also serves fresh juice, great coffee, the best spicey potatoes, and homemade granola. Always packed on the weekends but worth the wait!
