If you're going to order food at this restaurant, it doesn't matter if you're going to dine in or take food to go -- your best bet is always to park your vehicle and go inside to place your order. This place almost always messes up something with to-go orders placed through the drive thru.

Having said that, the food is good enough to go back again and again and again, even if I have to step out of the vehicle to place my orders. Their barbacoa is by far the best one found outside Loop 410 and they have *incredibly* good enchiladas. Their breakfast taco selection could use a little expanding, but what they do serve is superb and most of the time is incredibly generous.

The restaurant makes superb tortillas as well; I prefer corn tortillas with my breakfast orders and flour with everything else. Oh, and if you get the family order of barbacoa, it's probably best going with a healthy portion so you can get plenty of the absolutely delicious barbacoa and save some of the potatoes and all of the refried beans for another meal; again, value for money!

I HAVE BEEN TO CHACO'S ONCE IN SAN ANTONIO. I LOVED IT, BUT I LIVE IN AUSTIN. I, ALONG WITH A LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE, WOULD LOVE IT IF CHACHO'S CAME TO AUSTIN!

The breakfast tacos are filled to the edge. Very tasty. I've had their barbacoa a million times and it is always pretty lean. The potato and eggs are very tasty. As is the chilaquiles. All the portions, even on the plate specials, are pretty generous. Really worth the money.
