This is the place to go for greasy spoon heaven! Great service, great food, good prices! The coffee is so-so, but that cup is never empty! The food is tasty AND plentiful! Yes! Go! EAT!

This place is amazing. Every time i'm in Madison i make sure to stop in here. The scrambler is unbelievable and only 7 bucks for a huge amount of food. Its a great deal. I absolutly love this place!!

Excellent homemade-style breakfast and lunch, and very large portions. I've been going to Mickie's for 30 years. The reviewer who was disappointed with the pancakes is the first person I've ever heard say that -- Mickie's has a reputation for serving up great (and very large) pancakes. I especially like the whole grain and corn meal cakes. On Saturday and Sunday mornings during the (UW) school year, make sure to get there before 10:00 to avoid a long wait for a table. They are closed on Mondays, and for two weeks during the winter holiday break.

The waitress pressed me to order before I had a chance to look at the menu on the wall (the bkft prices are not lower than the lunch: pricey bkft). The pancakes were not at all done. After a few bites, my appetite for pancakes was ruined. The waitress told me I could not change my order...that the same order would be cooked to replace the pancakes I had barely touched. I went immediately to the cashier, offering to pay for the orange juice I had drank. She said I would have to pay for the pancakes regardless, and that she could not allow me to leave unless I did. When I asked to speak to a manager, all of a sudden paying for the OJ was acceptable. I have never had such a bad experience at a restaurant. I will NEVER go back.

One of the best in Madison. Always a bit of a wait at breakfast for a table but worth it. Refills are hit or miss but the coffee and shakes are awesome. My favorite breakfast is the Ruben Omlet as it is unique and perkey.

This is the BEST breakfast place in madison. The staff is friendly and the food is simply the best. Beware of long lines on the weekends and they are only open 6-2, but it is totally worth the wait! Also, cash only!

Amazingly awesome! Milkshakes for breakfast is one of the top 10 ideas ever. And make sure to try a scrambler. Just remember, it's cash only.

Not only is there breakfast great. Their dinner menu is good and the service is quick and friendly. This is truly a Madison institution that everyone should experience.

Best Breakfast joint, period. I will take road trips from Milwaukee just to bite into a Mickeys Scrambler. And don't be scared, get the gravy on the top. They also have the biggest and best pancakes around. Enjoy.
