I eat here pretty often, and have found that it is generally a very good restaurant, but like any place it can have its off days.

The have a lot of excellent breakfasts dishes with various type of gourmet sausages.

The prices are a little on the higher side, but the restaurant is in a very pricey area, where most restaurants start and die in months.

They have a huge parking lot, an outdoor patio, table and counter seating.

It's increasingly-hard to find a good BREAKFAST place in the city that opens at 6AM without going to a chain (IHOP, Dennys, etc.), so JAN'S was a god-send!!

Family-type restaurant, with a very Greek flavor inside that does offer Greek-accented dishes for all meals .. ..

Strangely, I've found their HUEVOS RANCHEROS to be excellent - Don't know who the cook is, but he sure isn't Greek .. .. Choose from their EGGS BENEDICT, or monster egg dishes, and you won't leave hungry .. ..

Not the place if you are counting your pennys, but if you want a great meal to kick off a greater day, this is the place .. ..

And, being just down the street from the CBS Studios, you get your fair share of industry types and 'I-know-who-that-is' .. ..

The above comments inspired us to go to Jans. We are now sorry that we passed on the free hotel breakfast. I wish I was joking. Perhaps those here in LA think that a Denny's wannabe is worthy of 5-star rating. If so, then hurrah for runny eggs and shocking bland everything. It isn't awful, but it is rather disappointing.

Jans is an excellent restaurant, not only for breakfast, but for all meals. Its daily specials are superb. It has a huge variety menue and no matter what you order it is excellent. The service is great.
