We had heard about this place for some time and finally decided to give it a try. A person I work with also recommended it. It is situated on the corner of Lareine Ave (across from a park) on Main St which is route 72. Lareine is between 6th and 7th Aves. From the look of their web site, I was expecting something quaint. Nothing can be further from that. It is very casual and has a villagey feel. Butcher paper covers the tables. The waitstaff are all young girls and guys. We got there early to avoid the possible crowds. They were crowded when we left, but there are tables outside too. I had read about Dave's famous has so I decided to have that with 2 poached eggs on top. It was good but served on a smallish plate instead of a dinner sized plate. When we arrived we were told we could sit anywhere, but then we felt rushed. Random pictures and other decorations are along the walls. There is a case near the cash register where you can choose muffins, etc to take with you. This is definitely as well-known local place six blocks from the beach. Our breakfast was costly, almost $30 for the two of us. It was an experience, but I wouldn't bother going again. It's just a short ride to Avon and the Avon Pavilion, which is a much better choice.
