"Great Breakfasts" Start With The Letter "H"
A sweet and viscous fluid produced by bees and other insects from the nectar of flowers. Honey is available in the comb, as the extracted liquid, and in solid and granular forms. The viscous liquid form we know best is generally comprised of 17 to 20% water and 76 to 80% dextrose and levulose. Common flavors of honey - which is determined by the flower from which the nectar is derived - include orange blossom honey, tupelo honey, clover honey, blackberry, and blueberry honey.
Honey contains many essential nutrients including vitamins C, D and E. It is also a natural humectant that draws moisture to the skin.
