 Valentines Day An international holiday of love occuring annually on February 14th. Traditionally, greeting cards, flowers, candy and other gifts are exchanged between loved ones. From a breakfast perspective, it is the number one day for breakfast in bed. The origins of Valentine's Day is uncertain. Many historians believe it started with St. Valentine, a Roman who was martyred for refusing to give up Christianity. He died on February 14, 269 A.D. As the story goes, St. Valentine left a farewell note for his jailer's daughter - who had become his friend - and signed it "From Your Valentine".
