Yogi cereals began appearing regularly in grocery stores in 2009. The Yogi brand started in 1984 as a line of holistic teas, although the company traces its history back to 1969 when founder Yogi Bhajan began serving specialty spiced tea to his yoga students in India.

Today, Yogi is located in Eugene, Oregon. It's parent company is Golden Temple, a company that also includes Peace Cereal and Sweet Home Farm Granola under its umbrella.
