Honey-Comb
From: Post
Introduced in 1965
Honeycomb was described on boxes as a "sweet crisp corn cereal." In the summer of 2010, Post Cereals' website described it like this: "Post Honeycomb is a sweetened corn and oat cereal in a unique BIG honeycomb shape. Its honey-sweet taste has had kids of all ages loving Honeycomb for almost 30 years." When this cereal first came out, it was described on the box like this: "Honeycomb is a new kind of cereal for the whole family. It's made from golden corn and sweetened with pure natural honey and sugar. It's fun-to-eat, light in the bite and crisp as can be! And it floats on milk to stay crisp! Enjoy this delicious cereal for breakfast - or any time you are in the mood for a different kind of snack. You won't want to add sugar. Honeycomb is just naturally sweet enough for everyone." Company Description: Founded by C.W. Post, the company began in 1895 in Battle Creek, Michigan under the name Postum Cereals. Their first product was a coffee substitute called Postum. The first breakfast cereal to come from the company was Grape-Nuts in 1897... Read on and see all cereals from Post Honey-Comb Cereal Theater

Another story that was listened to on the Honey Comb Ghost Story Record was "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". I had that record as a kid; and enjoyed the yummy tastes of the cereal while watching the commercials in the 70s. Those were the good old days! Thank you for bringing back the memories. This cereal was reminiscent of Styrofoam peanuts with a hint of honey. No thanks. (myemptycanvasreviews.blogspot.com) Comment submitted: 6/21/2012 (#8136) By Postman

Come to the Honeycomb Hideout! Great cereal and those commercials from the 70's and early 80's were the best. Comment submitted: 1/23/2012 (#6255) By yayaya

I loved it as a child. I have not had it in years, I don't think I would enjoy it. If they had a true honey sweetened version, I may like it. My taste buds are way different now. Anyways, like CerealKiller said, I also DID eat a whole box once, in well one sitting. The only cereal I eat now, is non processed oats. BORING! hahah ;) Comment submitted: 6/4/2010 (#2231) By charli20 (Team Breakfast Member)I was in a Honeycomb commercial filmed in Arizona in 1965 and would love to see it now as well as show it to my children! mcphersonanne@cox.net Comment submitted: 2/3/2010 (#1352) By TexasJen (Team Breakfast Member)
