Shredded Krumbles
From: Kellogg's
Introduced in 1920

A 1920 magazine ad described Shredded Krumbles like this:

Krumbles is the real energy food

Nature carefully puts into the the whole wheat grain the elements that lend pep, vim, vigor to the body. Our method brings out the natural sweetness and tempting flavor
.

That is why Krumbles means so much to those who eat it. All the energy of all the wheat is in Krumbles - the valuable mineral salts that are hidden away in the bran as well as the rest of the grain, the elements that go toward making muscles and bone and rebuilding weary nerve cells.

Krumbles is made in the same, big, modern kitchens with Kellogg's Toasted Corn Flakes, Kellogg's Krumbled Bran, Kellogg's Drinket, etc, and each packet is guaranteed by the signature - W.K. Kellogg.

This cereal was dated at 1920 based on a patent for the cereal in the 1920 Index of Patents issued by The United States Patent Office.

Krumbles was the best cereal. It tasted great, stayed crunchy and had a wonderful name.

I also wish they would bring back Krumbles. Now, my next favorite cereal, Grape Nuts Flakes, can only be found at Walmart. I sure hope it is not on its way out.

Shredded Krumbles was absolutely my very favorite cereal. I'm now 76 years old and I've tried to find it in the grocery store for 40 years. I sure hope Grape Nuts and Grape Nuts Flakes (my other favorites) do not follow Shredded Krumbles into the realm of happy memories. - Hollis

In the 50's, Corn Soya and Krumbles were two of my favorite cereals. I wish they would bring them back. Good, healthy food. I am now 65 and would love to have these cereals for breakfast AGAIN.

Every good morning memory I have with my dad started with Krumbles. We both still talk about today. I am now 49 and really miss Krumbles. Why on earth don't they bring it back? It is definitely more nutritious and healthy than the junk being offered on the market right now. Come on Kellogg's, sometimes looking back can inspire more than looking forward. There are lots of Krumble devotees out there. Bring it back and we promise not to let you down!

Please help today's kids kick the sweet snacks habit. Introduce them to Kellogg's Krumbles Whole Wheat taste and energy value food. Thanks from a longtime Krumbles fan from childhood in St. Louis, MO, now 77.
