Company Description: Founded by C.W. Post, the company began in 1895 in Battle Creek, Michigan under the name Postum Cereals. Their first product was a coffee substitute called Postum. I haven't been able to find this cereal in years (it was also briefly called 'Fruit and Bran'), but it used to be my favorite. I've looked for it in grocery stores throughout the Northeast.
