Top 3
From: Post
Introduced in 1960

Top 3 was a mixture of corn flakes, wheat flakes and crisp rice.

In 1960, a family of sheep (father, mother and son) represented the cereal on the box and in commercials. Bugs Bunny acted as the cereal's mascot in 1961.

Two young (non-cartoon) actors from the television series Make Room For Daddy also promoted Top 3 cereal in the early 60's. In one commercial, Rusty (played by Rusty Hamer) is "inventing a new taste treat" by mixing together corn flakes, wheat flakes and crisp rice. Linda (played by Angela Cartwright) breaks the news to him that his invention has already been invented:

"Well that's silly. The Post people have already invented it. See. Post Top 3. Three top cereals in one. It's got corn flakes crackling with fresh corn flavor, crisp nourishing rice and muscle-building wheat flakes... all mixed together in one box. Three times the flavor. Three times the fun. Try it."

Company Description: Founded by C.W. Post, the company began in 1895 in Battle Creek, Michigan under the name Postum Cereals. Their first product was a coffee substitute called Postum. The first breakfast cereal to come from the company was Grape-Nuts in 1897... Read on and see all cereals from Post

Somebody give Bugs Bunny a new cereal. I miss seeing him in commercials. Anybody remember the one for Trix with Bugs Bunny and the Trix Rabbit together. Classic!

I thought I remembered this Post Top 3 cereal. I even remember that the "Wascaly Wabbit" talked about the breakfast product.
