 Frosted Shredded Wheat

Introduced in 1996 The complete name of this cereal was Post Frosted Shredded Wheat Spoon Size. The box indicated that it was "made with 100%" natural whole grain wheat" making it an "excellent source of whole grain & fiber." As this cereal became harder to find, a new Post cereal called Lightly Frosted Shredded Wheat was introduced. At this time, we are unclear whether "Lightly Frosted" replaced the cereal on this page or if it was an expansion of the product line. If you have information, please post a note below. Company Description: Founded by C.W. Post, the company began in 1895 in Battle Creek, Michigan under the name Postum Cereals. Their first product was a coffee substitute called Postum.
