Scooters
From: Malt-O-Meal
Introduced in 2004

This is Malt-O-Meal's imitation, bargain-priced version of General Mills' Cheerios cereal, one of the all-time greats (introduced in 1945). Considering the history of Cheerios as a truly beloved American breakfast, a claim made on some packages of Scooters seems almost shocking:

"Kids prefer the great taste of Scooters to Cheerios."

Company Description: The Malt-O-Meal Company dates back to 1919 when John S. Campbell developed a hot wheat breakfast cereal he called Malt-O-Meal. The company officially adopted the name The Malt-O-Meal Company in 1953. By 1965, the company had entered the ready-to-eat non-hot breakfast sector with the introduction of Puffed Rice and Puffed Wheat cereals.... Read on and see all cereals from Malt-O-Meal

Cereal Rating (out of 5):

I love Malt-O-Meal cereals. I just hope they will try to get both sides of the closure seals more securely glued to the package. It seems one side will at times come undone. Then I have to use pins to ensure the package is sealed properly. Thanks.
